Grandvalira, Andorra, the largest ski zone in the pyrenees.
Grandvalira saw the light in 2003, fruit of the fusion of Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig and Soldeu El Tarter, the two main ski resorts in the Pyrenees. The result of their experience, dimension, services, and installations has given rise to the largest resort in the Iberian peninsular: GRANDVALIRA. The resort with 193km of ski-runs and 1,926 hectares, not only is the largest in the Pyrenees and the peninsular, but also ranks in the top ten ski resorts in Europe.
Please write anything general about GRANDVALIRA - Pas de la Casa, whether it's what a great time you had, or where to find the best runs on the mountain, or just useful hints and tips.
Hi - just spent a week in Pas de la Casa. Brilliant weather and snow! Pas itself was great for our mixed ability group, but we had a bit of a nightmare getting back from the rest of the Grandvalira network with our snowplough shuffler daughter. The links back are only red and black - a bit scary for her. Beginners & intermediates may be better to go to Soldeu.
