France has the Eiffel Tower, Italy the Leaning Tower of Pisa - and Switzerland? The Matterhorn. At it's foot lies Zermatt, the exclusive and traditional winter sports resort with world charm. Zermatt is the southernmost spa resort in switzerland. The air here at 1620 metres above sea level is dry and clear; this village in the Valais has always been free of cars. People go on foot or by horse-drawn carriage and electric car.
Please write anything general about Zermatt, whether it's what a great time you had, or where to find the best runs on the mountain, or just useful hints and tips.
I have worked in Zermatt for the past 6 winters, and what a great resort it is. With skiing for all levels, and some amazing off-piste when it snows. There's also some great restaurants for lunch.
